Chopo is my mountain horse. His Quarterhorse half is a powerhouse when he sees a need to move. He knows when the herd is too stretched out and readily turns them back, turning at the right moment with hardly a cue. His mustang half is nimble on the hillsides, knows the best paths through the rocks and can top any rugged boulder filled incline one step at a time. I can trust Chopo to ride anybody, he feels his rider whether experienced or not, and keeps them safe. "Chopo my pony Chopo my Pride Chopo my amigo Chopo I will ride..." Jack Thorp also had his own trusty mountain pony.
